Surface Water Response to Drought

MODIS data can be used to monitor reduced surface water from drought conditions. The following displays produced from our Surface Water Data Record compare contemporary surface water to past surface water. These displays can be compared to the U.S. Drought Monitor, and they provide objective, region-wide information concerning the observable effects of drought on surface water supplies.
