October 9 - Flash flooding and landslides in Gaolpara area of Assam kills over 160. More than 182 villages submerged in Goalpara.

Bangladesh - 54,300 families affected by flooding, 25,000 houses damaged, 28,300 hectares crops destroyed in Rajshahi and Naogaon
