Comments:

TRMM TMI data show heavy rain over the Hong Kong and Macau areas of Southern China from April 12 through the 14. According to an Agence France Presse news report from April 16 there were torrential rains in the region on the night of April 13. The most serious flooding was in the area of Shenzhen ( the special economic zone (SEZ) located just north of Hong Kong) where at least six people died. There were also more than 80 villages flooded in the Zhuhai area.

Rainfall and snowfall: yellow and white areas (yellowish white is highest intensity precipitation)

Oceans: light blue (low water vapour) to dark blue (high water vapour)
