Comments:

TRMM TMI data show the heavy rain over Mindanano Island begining on January 26 persisting through the 31st. The rain caused flooding and mudslides in the provinces of Davao del Norte, Compostela Valley and Agusan del Sur which displaced over 40,000 people. News reports mentioned that the water in the rivers was heavily silted.
