Comments:

TRMM TMI data show the heavy rain on Jan 6 that caused the flooding in the town of Dombe Grande along the River Coporolo in the southeast province of Benguela. When the the River Coporolo to burst its banks it inundated 6,000 hectares of land. Another area of heavy rain can be seen farther northeast on Jan 5 and 7 over the province of Kwanza Norte. Flooding in Kwanza Norte was reported begining on Jan 14 along the Kwanza, Chongoroi and Lucala rivers. Rainy season in Angola is expected to last through April.
